Waking and Walking

I've just returned from having my taxes calculated and my preparer suggested I would be better served by purchasing a home. I'm not so naive about finances as to have not understood this on my own, I simply haven't been in a position to purchase in the past.

What I desire is a home with room...

to roam...

upon waking...

possibly with a book...

or a trusted companion.

Ingredients to Heal One's Soul

At a certain point, one must move on from grief and apply their efforts to something far more constructive. Today that took form in a bit of kitchen experimentation. BTG is a lover of Madeleines and I of baking; however, such delights can take their toll on one's waistline. In an attempt to mitigate the impact of indulgence and on BTG's suggestion, I baked whole wheat Madeleines. My loyal recipe was sourced at 101 Cookbooks; simply substitute 3/4 cup flour minus 1.5 tablespoons whole wheat flour for the all-purpose.

Dear friends,

I am silent but not absent. The Furry Eccentric is gravely ill and I've not been up for writing a post as my thoughts inevitably stray to him.
